Cherry Valentine sashayed her way into the public eye and rose to fame on season two of Ru Pauls Drag race UK in 2021.
Born and bred in Darlington, George Ward was brought up in the traveller community and as the first person in his family to attend university, studied Mental Health Nursing.
Going on to have a successful career in nursing George also worked across both A&E and vaccination units throughout the covid pandemic.
A proud ambassador for the LGBTQ+ and Gypsy/Traveller communities, George made an acclaimed BBC documentary 'Cherry Valentine: Gypsy Queen and Proud', about his life growing up in the traveller community. The documentary was long listed for the National Television Awards.
George also ran his own events company, Throne Events to showcase LGBTQ+ talent and shape the live drag entertainment scene in the UK.
Sadly passing away in September 2022, George leaves a huge legacy and an even bigger hole in our hearts.
With a laugh that left its mark, you are so missed and so loved.
